Fall Fest

The Olde Riverside BIA is pleased to launch its inaugural Fall Fest presented by AM800 CKLW and CTV Windsor, which will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023; 10:00 am through 11:00 p.m.

Fall Fest will enable the BIA with the opportunity to give thanks for the harvest; our Riverside community, businesses, people, and veterans.

The goal of Fall Fest is to bring the neighborhood and community together. Businesses will provide specials throughout the day from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. inclusive of family-friendly themed activities that will be taking place at various parking lots between Glidden and Thompson Rd. Blvd. by D C McCloskey Engineering, Riviera and the.dotte, and Thompson House respectively.

Sat., September 23, 10 am – 11 pm 

One day — three venues — family-friendly fun

Main Attraction: The event as a whole; family-friendly entertainment that is equally distributed amongst 3 parking lots (D C McCloskey Engineering; Riviera // the.dotte, and Thompson House).

Zone 1: Family Games & Crafts presented by The Solcz Family, 11am-4pm

  • 11am-2pm – Face Painting
  • 11am-2pm – EAParties: Meet Princess Peach and Daisy from Super Mario Bros.
  • 12pm-2pm – BBQ provided by the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 255
  • 230pm-4pm – Meet EAParties’ Ice Princess and Ice Forester!
  • All Day Activities (11am-4pm)
  • Pumpkin Bowling
  • Pumpkin Painting
  • BIA Colouring Contests & Activities
  • Pumpkin Tic – Tac – Toe

Zone 2: Buskers & Magic presented by AM800 CKLW, 3 pm – 10pm

  • 3pm: Cornhole Competition
  • 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm: Magician Ron Gudel (www.rongudel.com)
  • 630pm – 830pm: The Stiltwalker Mark Lefebrve
  • 830pm: ‘Fire Breather’ Kobbler Jay (@kobblerjayshoq)

Zone 3: Thompson House presented by Riverside Bulletin Board, 4 pm – 11 pm 

  • Parking lot patio with live music & night market (starting at 5pm)
  • Live Music Schedule 
  • 12pm-4pm: Rob Sef – Acoustic Set (@robsef)
  • 4pm-7pm: Bob Soulliere – Acoustic Set (@bobsoulliere)
  • 7pm-10pm: Rick Mo- DJ – (@rickmo16)

Business Activities: 

  • Bergeron Art + Frame (5640 Wyandotte St. E., No. 2) will be offering 30% off framed art and $20 posters (in-store in-stock items only). The store will be open between 11am and 3pm on this day.
  • In Focus Optical (5957 Wyandotte St E.) will be offering a 25% discount on glasses with an eye exam; now through Thursday, November 30, 2023. Pick-up a coupon at any of the event zones during Fall Fest to book your appointment.
  • Rhyan’s Mess (5440 Wyandotte St E, Windsor E.) will be offering buy 1 get 1 half off regular priced items ($100 or less) between 11am and 5pm on this day.
  • Tall Tide Tattoo (5854 Wyandotte St. E.) will be providing free temporary tattoos for kids from 3pm onward (while supplies last). Be sure to drop-in with the family while checking out their shirts for sale.

  • Enchanted Adventure Parties (‘EAParties’) Costume Dressed Cosplayers; 4 characters (10:00 am to 1:00 pm), Face Painting (11:00 am – 2:00 pm); all-day activities including pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling, colouring contests; and Build-a-Scarecrow (10:00 am to 4:00 pm);

Riviera // the.dotte — 3 pm – 10pm

  • Riviera // the.dotte Parking Lot: Cornhole Competition (3:00 pm), Magician: Ron Gudel (4:00 pm), The Stilts Guy: Mark Lefebvre (7:00 pm), and Kobbler Jay ‘Fire Breather’ (8:30 pm);

Thompson House — 4 pm – 11 pm 

  • Night market consisting of vendors and live music!

Business Activities:
